Each February, the Foundation for Sarcoidosis Research conducts a nationwide education and awareness campaign, Kick In to Stop Sarcoidosis® (K.I.S.S.). Hundreds of people gather each year to launch the campaign at a fundraising event held in Chicago that raises important funds to support sarcoidosis research and to honor those who are dedicated to finding a cure for this disease.

The annual Kick In to Stop Sarcoidosis® campaign provides an opportunity to recognize those working to advance the Foundation's mission to improve the lives of those affected by sarcoidosis and to find a cure for this disease.

FSR President Andrea Wilson with KISS Campaign Spokesperson Bill RussellPast Honorees have included:

• Elliott Crouser, MD, Ohio State University
• Karen Duffy, Author, Spokesmodel, Patient Advocate
• Boston Celtics Legend, Bill Russell (pictured at right)
• NBC-5 and Larry Wert, President of NBC-5
• Andrea Wilson, Co-Founder and President of FSR

Read the 2010 K.I.S.S. Press Release to learn more about last years' event and our honorees.

As a result of the annual KISS Campaign, the Foundation has supported more than $750,000 to support innovative research projects which have led to an additional $1.2 million in subsequent awards for our researchers. Through these grants, we hope to realize the promise of victory, and someday ‘KISS’ sarcoidosis goodbye.
