Many people believe that osteoporosis is a disease that only affects older women, we now know that women and men of any age can develop osteoporosis especially if they have a certain disease or take certain medications to treat their disease.  This brochure is designed to educate both patients with inflammatory diseases and their health care providers about the consequences of long-term glucocorticoid use.  Produced with an unrestricted education grant from the Illinois Department of Public Health Office of Women's Health.
