FSR's 25th Anniversary Awards Gala brings together members of the sarcoidosis community to celebrate clinicians, researchers, and advocates from around the globe leading the charge to advance sarcoidosis research and carve the path towards better treatments and a cure.

FSR Award for Distinguished Leadership in Sarcoidosis Research
Elliott Crouser, MD
Dr. Elliott Crouser is a distinguished pulmonologist and critical care specialist at Ohio State University. He currently serves as a Professor of Medicine with tenure at the Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. Crouser received his medical degree from the University of Toledo College of Medicine. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Ohio State University Hospital, followed by a fellowship in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine. With over 28 years of experience, Dr. Crouser has developed extensive expertise in critical care medicine and pulmonary diseases, with a particular focus on sarcoidosis. Dr. Crouser held several prestigious positions, including: President of the Americas Association of Sarcoidosis and Other Granulomatous Disorders (AASOG) from 2018 to 2020; Chair of the American Thoracic Society Official Clinical Practice Guidelines for Sarcoidosis from 2017 to 2020; and Chair of the Internal Medicine Section (>4000 members) for the Society of Critical Care Medicine from 2019 to 2021.

Jeryl is a celebrated actress with roles in Star Wars: Ahsoka (Disney+), The Walking Dead, All the Queen’s Men, Swamp Thing, and Resort to Love. She is also a passionate FSR advocate in the sarcoidosis community, having lent her voice to FSR’s Ignore No More campaign to raise awareness and spark action.
