To encourage social responsibility, many companies offer their employees opportunities to match employee donations to a charitable organization – this can be an easy way to double or even triple your donation! Increasing revenue with matching gifts isn’t too tricky, but we need your help. Each year, FSR receives corporate matching gifts. These gifts help FSR continue to fund our research initiatives, patient and physician educational programs, and advocacy efforts for patients worldwide. This year, we’ve set a goal of raising $15,000 from these programs. If seventy-five people donate $100 with a $100 contribution match from their employer, then we will we meet our goal. This will allow FSR to better support patients and improve their quality of life.

This summer, Steve Stahr, a Chicagoland patient from Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) maximized on the opportunity that MDRT offers by raising funds for FSR through their generous corporate matching program. Steve’s colleagues came together to raise money in his honor, and the results were incredible. Not only did their corporate matching program match the funds that Steve and his colleagues raised, but also the company’s foundation matched that amount, tripling the impact of his fundraiser.

We wanted to find a way to give back to the communities in which our staff lives and recognize charities that are near to their hearts for a variety of reasons. We see matching by both MDRT and the MDRT Foundation as a great incentive for our staff to give and to maximize the power of their donation.

Like Steve, you can help us reach our goal by searching for your own match eligibility. Assess your eligibility and gain access to detailed information about your employer’s corporate giving program by searching our database of companies with matching gift programs.

To the best of our ability, we’ll provide you with the following: Up-to-date, company-specific program guidelines, links to the online matching gift request forms or downloadable PDFs offered by your employer, and our contact information (Tax ID, address, fundraising contact), which you may need for your matching gift request. If your company isn’t listed, make sure to check with your company’s HR department. It’s still possible that your employer offers matching gifts.

Nothing happens until a member of our staff donates. But, after that, their donation is multiplied by three, thus enhancing the impact of their gift.

Since MDRT began their corporate matching initiative, their company has as generated over $90,000 for various charities from staff and matching funds from MDRT and MDRT Foundation. “Corporate matching allows companies to support, encourage and recognize the donations of staff to great causes,” said Steve.

We wish we could submit the required form for you, but unfortunately the employee must submit the matching gift request to their employer directly. We appreciate you taking a few minutes to double your donation!
