Mary McGowan- FSR CEO
Mary became the Foundation for Sarcoidosis Research’s first CEO in 2020, leading the organization’s mission in patient engagement, partnerships, fundraising, advocacy, and research. With 35 years of nonprofit leadership, she previously helmed The Myositis Association, WomenHeart, and the Allergy & Asthma Network. Mary holds a Master’s Degree in Human Resources Development from George Washington University and a B.A. from Trinity University.
Tricha Shivas (FSR Chief of Staff and Strategy)
Tricha Shivas joined FSR in 2020. With over 15 years in non-profit leadership, she’s dedicated to improving lives affected by chronic illnesses. Tricha’s expertise spans roles at organizations like the Muscular Dystrophy Association and WomenHeart, where she spearheaded patient engagement and policy advocacy. She holds a Master’s in Bioethics from the University of Pennsylvania and serves on advisory councils at Drexel University.
