In our third week, we honor Cristal Davis for the work that she does and the bond she has created with sarcoidosis patients.

cristal-davisCristal was first diagnosed with sarcoidosis in 2009. It affects her lungs, liver, eyes, bones and skin. We want to highlight her story because of the passion she has for other patients with sarcoidosis. Through her passion, she has created a support group called “Promote Courage for People with Sarcoidosis” in Augusta, Georgia. She is there for her group members 24/7 for when they need support because every day is a fight.

Not only does she help her fellow members but she also raises money for research by hosting events in support of FSR. She has hosted multiple events including a worldwide balloon launch where purple balloons were launched into the air and held a pancake breakfast called “Short Stacks for Big Change”.

What is most inspirational for Cristal is actually sarcoidosis. Through sarcoidosis she has built a strong family bond with everyone as she continues to fight for her life every day, so all of you are her inspiration.
