Sarcoidosis patients know better than anyone the value of receiving care at a multidisciplinary clinic specifically designed to meet their unique needs. In response to this need for well-coordinated care, institutions worldwide have worked to establish their own sarcoidosis clinics, each with their own criteria. As a patient, it can be difficult to decipher the difference between these clinics, especially when they’re prepared to travel great distances for a second opinion or to receive care at such a center.
In response to this patient need, as well as to respond to the need of institutions to have a clear path to becoming a recognized Sarcoidosis Center or Center of Excellence, the Foundation for Sarcoidosis Research is proud to partner with the World Association for Sarcoidosis and Other Granulomatous Disorders (WASOG) to present the first stage of the process – recognition as a WASOG Sarcoidosis Clinic. Through this application process, WASOG will acquire necessary information to establish guidelines for WASOG Sarcoidosis Centers and Centers of Excellence.
There is no specific requirement to be recognized as a sarcoidosis clinic, however, at least one member of the clinic has to be a member of WASOG. Applications will be screened for inclusion by an internal review board and details such types of specialists, manifestations treated, etc. shared with patients through the Foundation for Sarcoidosis Research so patients can make informed decisions about where they receive care. Contact information will also be provided in the clinic directory so that patients may contact individual centers directly.
The following form will allow your clinic to be recognized as a Sarcoidosis Clinic. Stage 2 and 3 of the application process will occur at a later date. Please submit any questions or concerns to email@example.com.
