Join us on Saturday, September 18, 2021 11 AM-12PM CST (12-1PM EST, 10-11AM MT, 9-10AM PST)

We’ve all seen or heard it; a rogue tail across a Zoom screen, a jump onto a keyboard in the middle of a live presentation, or the earsplitting sound of your dog howling for sometimes no reason whatsoever. But we cannot deny the joy they bring into our lives, and we absolutely love them for it! Pets, especially dogs and cats, have even shown to help reduce stress, anxiety, and depression, ease loneliness, encourage exercise and playfulness, and even improve your cardiovascular health.

Now’s your chance to make your furry friend the star of your Zoom meeting! Join FSR Patient Advisory Committee Members, Susan Bassi, Kevin McKean, and Janet Mockovciak, for an all out fur-filled-fun-time! Our pet-loving hosts will introduce themselves, their pets, and share how their furry (or winged!) friends have helped them through their sarcoidosis journeys, and invite everyone to introduce their pets, and share their experiences!

About our hosts:

Susan Bassi & Ozzy: He’s a great listener, hangs out with me on good and bad days, never complains, and I think he helps keep me moving. Read Susan’s full bio here.

Kevin McKean & his bees: The three main things I like about bees are 1) honey; 2) they are social, which is fascinating; and 3) they make a lovely buzz on sunny days in the back yard. Read Kevin’s full bio here.

Janet Mockovciak & Sage and Luna: The impact of having Sage and Luna in my life is immeasurable! I have had at least one dog for my entire life! They know when I am not feeling well and stay close! Their need for exercise forces me out to walk every day even on the days when I feel like I just can’t move! Plus they make me laugh! Read Janet’s full bio here.
